Request Materials in OneSearch

If you find a Special Collections item in OneSearch you want to use, you can request it in advance so the item will be on hold for you when you arrive. You have to log into the OneSearch in order to place requests for materials in Special Collections.

1. Place Request in OneSearch

After clicking on the "Request" link, a form will pop up. Fill in the date after which you no longer need the item, and click the "Request" button.

2. Check Request Status in MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT

While you're waiting for the item, you can check MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT in OneSearch to see the request's status. 

 

3. Receive Email Notification that Item is Available

When the item is available, you'll get an email letting you know you can come to Special Collections and Archives to use it.
