Art 318: Survey of 19th and 20th Century Arts

Intro to OneSearch

OneSearch is the library’s search tool for locating books, ebooks, articles, videos and more.  Tips for searching OneSearch (see Research 101 for more on this):

  • Log in using your portal username and password.

  • Use the facets in the left-hand column of the screen to narrow your search.

  • Develop keywords based on the major concepts of your research topic.

  • Brainstorm alternate keywords, synonyms, broader and narrower terms

  • No sentence searching!

  • Use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to limit or expand your search

  • Don’t give up, research takes time!
