Project led by Jamie Booth: Held workshops in summer 2024 for M-STEP incoming freshmen or transfer students with the objectives of: 1. Increasing workshop attendees knowledge of research opportunities, and desire to pursue independent research 2. Enhancing scientific identity and knowledge of scientific methods among workshop attendees 3. Increasing workshop attendees confidence to pursue a STEM degree. The workshops were part of an NSF RUI award and had 51 attendees split over four separate 1 hour sessions.
