Regardless of what kinds of sources you use , it's always beneficial to evaluate them for accuracy and relevance. Doing so can be difficult, as not all sources are open and transparent about who and what they are. One technique to quickly verify who created a particular source is "lateral reading." That means instead of staying on that website and only looking at it and trying to determine its credibility, you open up new tabs, and search for what other people are saying about that source. See below for some videos explaining how to do this. And once you know something is from a credible source, make sure you also look at the date and if it is relevant to your research.
