The Map Collection houses multiple collections, a reading room and GIS software, and provides specialized research services. Visits and consultations are arranged by appointment.
Note: much of the map collection is not indexed in the CSUN Library catalog, and therefore won't show up in OneSearch queries. To find out what maps we have, reach out to the Map Collection directly.
The easiest way to access library resources is to download the GlobalProtect VPN software and activate it when you want to treat your computer as though it were on campus.
Alternately, you can log into each database as you encounter it with your portal user name (your initials plus 5 or 6 digits) and your portal password.
This is the "known citation" function of OneSearch that will take you directly from a reference in an article or book you read to the source that author used.
