Neighborhood Data for Social Change 

Neighborhood Data for Social Change (NDSC) is a project within the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate focused on using data to help local civic actors track measurable change, improve local policies and programs, and ultimately advocate for a better quality of life within their communities. The project includes a free, publicly available online resource that helps tell the stories of L.A. neighborhoods through maps, charts and storytelling, as well as a suite of customizable data services for local civic actors.

The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.

Policy Map - A Library Database

Policy Map

Web-based Geographic Information System covering the United States used to understand communities. With easy-to-use menus, PolicyMap is a GIS tool for non-GIS experts for those who need to visualize large amounts of data quickly and easily, often down to the census tract or block group level.
