Research on Windrush Arrivals: The term "Windrush Arrivals" refers to the post WWII migration of people from the Carribean to the UK
named after one of the first ships that brought migrants, the HMT Empire Windrush, which arrived in 1948. The Notting Hill riots were a series of racially motivated attacks that occurred in 1958 in London, sparked by tensions over immigration and housing and targeting the Caribbean community.

Policing response to the 2024 summer riots (House of Commons Library/UK Parliament
Between 30 July and 7 August 2024, an estimated 29 anti-immigration demonstrations and riots took place across 27 towns and cities in the UK. Many of these were violent, with participants attacking mosques and hotels housing asylum seekers. Known far-right activists promoted and attended the riots.
