With a library card from Los Angeles Public Library (or most public libraries in the United States), in addition to checking out e-books and e-audiobooks, you can check out magazines using Overdrive. You can then read these magazines using a computer or tablet. Here is an example of some business/finance magazines that are available.
If you live in the City of Los Angeles, you can sign up instantly for an e-card.
Residents of Los Angeles County may sign up for an e-card online as well. Note: these are two different library systems.
To get a physical library card, most libraries require only a California address, and you can use a physical card to sign up for digital access to Overdrive (books and magazines), newspapers like the NY Times and Washington Post, and stream films via Kanopy and Hoopla.
The benefit of a public library card is that it does not end when you finish your degree at CSUN and you may find that some of the e-resources will help you both professionally and personally.
