Child and Adolescent Development

A research guide for the department of CADV.

Using PsycInfo to Find Tests

You can use the PsycInfo database to see if there are any articles that have used a particular test, and if it is included as an appendage to the article. You can search using the word appended in one of the search boxes. Watch the video below for explicit instruction on how to do so.

For more information, see the Psychology Libguide's Finding Tests page.

Using ERIC to find tests and questionnaires

You can also find example tests in the ERIC database.

After typing your topic into one of the search boxes, you can scroll down the page to the "Document Type" Filter and choose tests / questionnaires. The articles that appear should have appendices containing the specific test they used. Please note that this is not foolproof, and some articles may not actually have the test.

If the above methods don't give you enough options, remove the tests/questionnaires limit and do the following instead. Put your keywords in the search boxes. Add a final box and type the following: test* OR measure* OR survey* OR questionnaire* OR scale* OR batter* OR inventor* OR checklist* OR instrument* OR pretest* OR posttest* OR interview*

This does not guarantee results, but look at the articles to see if they include their tests.
