Library Cards

A CSUN student ID card is required for current CSUN students to check out circulating books and other materials in-person in the University Library. Present your card at the appropriate service desk to check out materials. 

Note that Interlibrary Loan/CSU+ materials borrowed from other libraries are checked out to eligible CSUN users and picked up from the Library’s Lockers.

Library Graduate Study Rooms

Learning Resource Center (LRC) Resources for Graduate Students

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) enables students to improve their academic performance through a variety of learning programs including workshops, one on one and group tutoring, and supplemental instruction classes. Office of Graduate Studies

The Office of Graduate Studies is responsible for the graduate domestic admissions process and implementing University graduate policies and procedures. It is also involved in support programs for graduate student funding as well as organizing events aimed at fostering students academic success.   • Thesis: Capstone research for a Master’s Degree. Length: 1-2 journal articles.
  • Dissertation: Capstone research for a Doctoral Degree. Length: 3-5 journal articles.
  • CSUN Graduate Students: If you’re a current CSUN graduate student, you might want examples of recent successful theses from your department. Find them in ScholarWorks.
  • CSUN Alumni: If you wrote a thesis while at CSUN, search for yourself as an author in OneSearch.
  • Other Universities: Graduate research from other universities is available through the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database.
  • Embargoed? Authors can choose to restrict access to their research for a few years, usually until they publish or patent their findings. Embargoed theses and dissertations are not available.
