The California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC), established in January 1992, the organization, responsible for administering the California Certified Interior Designers Title Act, under Chapter 3.9, Section 5800 of the California Business and Professions Code. Title Act went into effect on January 1, 1991, after several years of legislative efforts by commercial and residential interior design groups and by the California Legislative Coalition for Interior Design. The law SB 153 outlined the parameters and responsibilities of work that an interior designer can perform. Along with these guidelines, the title of “Certified Interior Designer” added to the California Business and Professions code, providing an official designation for interior designers who meet the education, experience and examination requirements, as administered by the California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC).
The Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ) is the premiere certifying organization for interior design professionals. CIDQ develops and administers the three-part NCIDQ Examination, which tests interior designers’ knowledge of core competencies required for professional practice in the industry. The exam is based on CIDQ’s independent, comprehensive analysis of the profession and the daily practice of interior design in a range of settings. CIDQ continually updates the exam’s contents to ensure they reflect the most current skills required to design secure, functional and innovative interior spaces.
These competencies articulate the foundational knowledge and performance skills nutrition educators need for the development, implementation and evaluation of effective nutrition education. The ten theme areas, and the more speciﬁc competencies under each of these, provide a practice guide for a well-rounded nutrition educator. The competencies may be used for individual professional development, curriculum and program planning for educational institutions, training within extension or other programs, or preparation for capacity development at the country level.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families.
