The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Education Division helps to promote and enhance FCS education throughout the United States and cooperates with other Divisions to advance the purposes of ACTE®.

The mission of the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) is to advance consumer research and facilitate the exchange of scholarly information among members of academia, industry, and government worldwide. One of the key functions of ACR is to facilitate the growth and advancement of the field of consumer research. ACR hosts and supports a number of conferences as well as reviews and publishes scholarly research publications.

NEAFCS is the professional organization for Extension Family and Consumer Sciences that builds leaders for the future; provides innovative professional growth and development opportunities; recognizes and promotes excellence and scholarship in programming; serves members as a nation-wide resource for education, information, networking, and building partnerships; promotes the profession and the mission and goals of the Land Grant University Extension System.

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) is an independent, non-profit accrediting organization for interior design education programs at colleges and universities in the United States and internationally. For more than 35 years, this knowledge-driven organization has been passionately committed to the ongoing enrichment of the interior design profession through identifying, developing and promoting quality standards for the education of entry-level interior designers, and then encouraging, accrediting and supporting educational programs to aspire to those standards.

Founded in 1944, the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges, and universities with approximately 349 accredited institutional members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials for art and design and art/design-related disciplines, and provides assistance to institutions and individuals engaged in artistic, scholarly, educational, and other art/design-related endeavors.

TAPAC, the Textile and Apparel Programs Accreditation Commission, is the official accrediting organization for baccalaureate level programs in textiles, apparel, and related areas. The purpose of TAPAC is to establish standards for the recognition of textile and apparel-related programs and through a peer review process, evaluate the characteristics and performance of individual programs against these established standards. Emphasis in the standards is on assessment of student learning outcomes and the program attributes that contribute to achievement of student learning outcomes.

Since 1953, the American Council on Consumer Interests, ACCI, has been a leading membership organization for academicians and other professionals involved in consumer and family economics. ACCI is the leading consumer policy research and education organization consisting of a world-wide community of researchers, educators and related professionals dedicated to enhancing consumer well-being. ACCI promotes the consumer interest by encouraging, producing and communicating policy-relevant research.
